Why UKSN is Perfect for Bushcrafters
Bushcraft is more than a hobby — it’s a lifestyle. At UKSN, we understand the appeal of living closer to nature, mastering traditional skills, and disconnecting from the modern world. Whether you’re into friction fire, shelter building, foraging, or tracking, UKSN gives you the space to grow your skills and connect with others who truly get it.

WHY JOIN UKSN?

Develop Real Skills with Real People
From carving to cordage, you’ll find people across the UK who practice and teach bushcraft — no ego, no gatekeeping, just shared learning and growth.

Attend Meets and Events
Join UKSN events designed for bushcrafters — from relaxed woodland camps to skill-sharing weekends. You’ll meet others who love the outdoors as much as you do.

Connect Through Nature
Bushcraft isn’t just survival — it’s connection. Our community and local Charters help you find people who appreciate the wilderness and want to protect and enjoy it together.

Practical Resources, Not Just Talk
Get access to downloadable guides, gear checklists, foraging resources, and seasonal tips written with bushcrafters in mind — not generic camping advice.

Build a Tribe
Many of our members say they joined for the content but stayed for the people. UKSN gives you a chance to be part of something real, grounded, and offline when it counts.
WHAT MAKES UKSN SPECIAL?

Welcoming Environment
The UKSN has a fully formed constitution and code of conduct. We also have both anti bullying and child protection policies in place that we expect all members to adhere to at all times. These core documents form the backbone of UKSN, ensuring that our community remains a safe environment for all members.

The UKSN is one of a small number of organisations to hold a Camping and Caravan Exemption Certificate in England, Scotland and Wales. This enables us to operate campsites for sole use by our members without needing planning permission or to apply for change of use for the land.
