Pizza and calzone is a great snack or meal in a Dutch oven get the pan really hot and place coals on top of the lid.
Now I prepare the dry mix of the dough at home so all I need to do is add water when ready to prepare the dough.
I start the dough at breakfast and leave to rise until lunch so bear in mind buy the very large sealable bags. Many dough recipes of you tube work. Just remember amount of oil and water required. Write this on the bag.
Then also need greaseproof paper to line base of Dutch oven but don't put this in yet as you can build your pizza or calzone and place on the paper and lower this into the oven and use the paper to remove the pizza also.
The toppings can be of your choice. I usually blend a tin of chopped tomatoes with a little basil garlic and quarter onion then I place in a zip lock bag and freeze and place in the cooler. This makes an excellent pizza sauce. Also instead of flour to stretch the dough I use polenta it doesnt burn like flour.
Cooking times vary so can be under 10min to 15mins depending on toppings and thickness of pizza so do check at 8mins and at 12 mins as not to burn if need be add more coals on top of oven.
